DescriptionHarrison is glad to hear that the Royal Mint will strike the Royal Medal. Regarding the defective reverse die, the Royal Society does not possess a drawing of the original medal, but they have asked Sir Joseph Hooker, who is one of the oldest recipients of the medal still living, if he will be so kind as to lend his for the purpose.
