Title | Copy letter from Sir Michael Foster, to Dr Patrick Manson, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 3 June 1902 |
Description | The paper by Dr Edington, 'On the Production of a Malarial Type of South African Horse-sickness' that Manson communicated, has been before the Chairman of the Committee, who before accepting it, sought the advice of a Committee member. The opinion of said member is enclosed, and they suggest that Edington is in fact looking at a totally different disease. Rather than Horse-sickness, he believes Edington is dealing with 'Bilious Fever', or 'Horse Malaria'.
Foster asks Manson, if in light of this opinion, he thinks Edington should be given the option of withdrawing the paper under Standing Order 31. |
