Description | The Royal Society's telegram of the previous day referred to two cases containing geodetic instruments loaned by the Russian Government and sent by the Military Topographical Survey of the General Staff, St Petersburg. They are required for an expedition, under Dr Rubin, which is to measure the Zambesi-Tanganyika arc of the 30th meridian. The Secretaries wish the Messrs to unpack, overhaul and examine the instruments. The instruments should then be carefully re-packed and seny to the British South Africa Company, 15 St Swithin's Lane, E.C.. Asks for general line on the condition of the instruments as received. |
