Title | Copy letter from Michael Foster, to Sir Alfred Jones |
Date | 6 August 1903 |
Description | The Malaria and Tsetse Fly Committee of the Royal Society is investigating Sleeping Sickness and Foster has been directed by that Committee to ask if it would be possible for Jones to assist by procuring and bringing to England from the Congo region, two or three cases of Sleeping Sickness. It has been suggested that Jones' agents might induce two or three cases in the initial stages of the disease to come to England, and possibly they might do duty as hands on their way out. Hopes the request does not seem unreasonable. |
