Description | In reply to Avebury's postcard received this morning, Harrison quotes the Council resolution on education, which is that the Universities be urged to consider the desirability of taking such steps in their regulations as will ensure that a knowledge of science is recognized in schools and elsewhere as an essential part of general education.
At the same meeting Council referred it to a Committee to drawn up for submission to the Council, a memorial to the Universities embodying this resolution. The Committee will be meeting in a few days time, in order that the matter may be further considered at the first Council of the approaching session. |
