Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society |
Date | 13 January 1890 |
Description | Rix states that there are some old proof sheets of 'Record of current literature' addressed to Foster, which he presumes are related to the 'Catalogue of Scientific Papers' Committee. Professor Harry Govier Seeley has said that the geological map referred to him should only be acknowledged by a letter of thanks, as anything aside from this would be likely to be used as an advertisement, as the map is more commercial than scientific.
Rix belives that there is 'nothing so new or startling about the map as the writer...imagines'. |
