DescriptionMinchin's letter to Professor [Edwin Ray] Lankester of 30 January, embodying the conditions on which Minchin is prepared to undertake the investigation proposed in Uganda, was considered at the meeting of the Tropical Diseases Committee last Tuesday. The Committee are pleased Minchin is willing to undertake the research. A memorandum between Minchin and the Society is being prepared and will be sent in a few days.

Explains that all scientific equipment Minchin requires will be supplied. Asks Minchin to call and see if any of the lenses at the Society are suitable for him. Encloses a list of such instruments in the Society's possession [not enclosed]. Re-agents, stains and glass apparatus might best be procured by Minchin himself. He can also use the apparatus at the laboratory at the station in Uganda.
