TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Woodward
Date30 May 1905
DescriptionIn reply to Woodward's of the previous day, Woodward's request for Soiree invitations will be attended to, Mrs and Miss Bate are also to be asked.

Referring to an earlier letter of Woodward's on the subject of Mr Druce, Harrison finds that the Vice-President of Societies are not on the list of invitations[?] for either Soiree, as such, and as Woodward may remember, the Soiree Committee this year restricted the invitations to Councils to one third of those on the list, to be taken in rotation, and Mr Druce consequently did not receive an invitation. Harrison has no power of his own to send Druce an invitation for the Ladies Soiree, and in view of the tendency of the Committee to restrict the list, Harrison has some hesitation in putting forward his name for an official invitation. Queries if Woodward could get a member of the Soiree Committee to provide an invitation from their private list.

Has safely received the pass book stating the account of the administration of the Scientific Relief Grant Woodward has been taking charge of. Notes the grant is now exhausted. Asks if Woodward proposes making an application to the Committee to make a further grant.
