Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to [Edwin Ray] Lankester, [Fellow of the Royal Society] |
Date | 13 July 1905 |
Description | On 9 June Geikie sent Lankester a letter addressed to Geikie by Major Ross, about some claim for scientific discovery made by Sir P Manson. Colonel [David] Bruce, tells Lankester that Major Ross has been asking what action the Society proposes to take in the matter, if any. Asks if Lankester has anything to propose.
Some important discoveries are being made in regard to Malta Fever and some questions about Sleeping Sickness have also arisen. Seems desirable that there should be a meeting of the Tropical Diseases Committee before people leave town for the holidays. Suggests 25 July at 2.30pm. This is the same day as a meeting of the committee on Cattle Diseases in India. |
