DescriptionThe Observatories Committee have been considering the report for 1904-5 of the Indian Board of Scientific Advice, and the reports of the observatories at Bombay and Kodaikanal.

The Committee look forward to an early commencement of the publication of the promised monthly departures from the normal for the whole Monsoon area, this will be of high value for general meteorological research. The Committee learn with satisfaction that the Indian Investigation in Solar Radiation is to proceed in concert with the International Solar Union, and that their standard type of actinometer will be employed. The Committee desires further information on the discontinuance of the magnetic observations on selected quiet days noted in the 1905 report of the Director of the Bombay Observatory.
