Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Professor George Forbes, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 27 March 1907 |
Description | Harrison writes concerning the referees' report on 'Observations on an enlarged scale of the variations of the East and West Earth current, and of terrestrial magnetism during quiet periods' by Mr Crawley, communicated to the Royal Society by Forbes. He offers to send a copy of the referee's remarks, which suggest that paper could not be accepted in its current form, and asks whether, once he has read them, he wishes to withdraw the paper and advise the author on amending the paper in response to the criticisms in the report. Should Forbes and the author agree with his suggestion, the paper could be returned at once, resulting in no delay to its reading and publication, should it be accepted.
Any reply is to be addressed to the Assistant Secretary, who will be able to respond to the matter during the vacation. |
