| Description | In response to the letter from Eyre, forwarded by Bruce, as well as Bruce's own letter, Harrison states that Eyre is unjustified in his assumption that 50 copies of Part VI of the Malta Report were due to him, as no such promise was made, and they would have difficulty meeting his request due to the small number left after the wide distribution of the report. As Eyre is not the sole author of Part VI, his three collaborators might equally claim 50 copies each, and this demand would be impossible to meet.
Sir Archibald Geikie believes 10 to 12 copies would be the most they could reasonably give him from the ordinary edition. If Bruce believes him justified in asking for more, Harrison wonders if they could be supplied from the 100 sent to Bruce for distribution. |
