In reply to your letter of March 3rd, we have pleasure in sending you the deficient parts of the Proceedings [of the Royal Society], except vol 19, pages 345-348, of which we have no copies in stock. These pages however, contain only a "List of presents to the Society", and are not really essential. With regard to the duplicate sheets, the most convenient course would be as you suggest, to transfer them to some library in Switzerland. If you will kindly undertake to do this we shall feel greatly obliged.' |
