TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to The Secretary, The Junior Institute of Engineers, 39 Victoria Street, SW
Date13 March 1908
Description'Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of March 12, I have to say that it is not the practice of the [Royal] Society to lend original blocks of illustrations to papers in the Proceedings [of the Royal Society]. I will however, if it will answer your purpose, order our printers, Messrs Harrison & Sons, to prepare an electro of the block you mention at your expense. The cost of such an electro will be trifling, and on hearing from you I will at once put the matter in hand. It is a condition of the Society that due acknowledgment is made of the source from which such illustrations are reproduced.'
