Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir George Gabriel Stokes, President of the Royal Society |
Date | 17 October 1890 |
Description | The die of the Davy Medal is at the mint and Mr Fremantle strikes it for the Society every year. The name forms part of the medal and is in raised letters on the reverse, not engraved on the edge. Rix does not know the cost of a bronze medal but thinks the Treasurer should know. He wonders if he should obtain an estimate for the latter. |
