| Description | Dr [James Edward Tierney] Aitchison writes from Florence much vexed that a number of 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' have been posted to him and he has had to pay heavy postage from Edinburgh. The Royal Society wrote on 11 November asking the Messrs to cancel Aitchison's Edinburgh address. As the mistake is entirely the Messrs, the correspondent has instructed Aitchison to apply to them for a refund. |
