Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Sidney Frederic Harmer, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 8 January 1910 |
Description | The case he mentions in his letter of yesterday is one that on the face of it would come under the scope of the Scientific Relief Fund, and so Harrison is forwarding an application form. The application need not be made direct, it is in fact better from the Committee's point of view that it should be filled up and signed by some disinterested person, acquainted with all the circumstances of the case, and this procedure also spares the feelings of the proposed beneficiaries. Even though the scope was widened last year, the purpose of the fund is to relieve immediate necessities. |
