Description | In response to their letter of 11 January, Harrison is afraid that it is not competent for them to withdraw their paper. By the Statutes, a paper once read becomes property of the Royal Society and then may either be published or preserved in the archives. The paper was returned to him in August to be revised, and since then the amended paper as not arrived. If he has a wish that the paper should not be published then the Council will no doubt take his wishes into consideration, but in any case Harrison is compelled to ask for the return of the paper. |
