Adverting to your letter of May 20th 1909 (No.9495/09), and to subsequent correspondence. I have been requested by the Executive Committee of the National Physical Laboratory to make application to you for the following Parlimentary Grants-in-Aid for the year 1910/1 for salaries and expenses: - Ordinary Grant (first moiety) £4000, Aeronautical Grant (first moiety) £2250 and the special grant of £3000 for the Aeronautical Buildings.
I should be glad if you would make the payment direct to the National Physical Laboratory account at the Bank of England, Western Branch, Burlington Gardens, W, at as early a date as possible.' |
