Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie to Roscoe |
Date | 4 May 1912 |
Description | 'Though you told me some months ago of your intention to resign your appointment on the Governing Body of Eton, I cannot receive your formal resignation without expressing to you my own personal regret that a connection which has lasted as long and has been so beneficial both to the school and to the cause of Science in public school education should at last be severed. I can sure the Council will receive your resignation with equal regret. I should not fail to act in the direction you suggested as to the selection of your successor. I hope you will have a pleasant and restful summer in the country.' |
