Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor [John Stanley] Gardiner, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 9 May 1913 |
Description | Professor Nuttall's report on Woodcock and Lapage's paper has now come in, and it is definitelt adverse to publication. Gives an extract of his criticism which states that the paper is very badly written and inordinately long and tedious to read. Sir John Rose Bradford thinks neither this paper nor Miss Pixell's should go outside the Royal Society for reference.
He is quite prepared to pass Pixell's for 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' on the strength of one report, if Gardiner concurs. There is no obligation to send a Proceedings paper to two referees. |
