TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Thomas Debary, Church Manor, Bishop's Stortford
Date1 June 1891
DescriptionRix acknowledges receipt of Debary's letter of 29 May with a manuscript on the rotation of the Earth, but regrets to inform him that it will not be possible to bypass the Royal Society's Statute which requires the communication of every paper to the Society by a Fellow. He also suggests that a scientific journal might be more suitable than 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' for his paper. Trusting that Debary agrees with Rix's assessement, he returns the manuscript.
