TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, [Royal Society]
Date6 October 1891
DescriptionRix writes regarding the work of the Catalogue Committee, listing the societies invited to send lists of "periodicals specially recommended". He further reports that the Chemical, Electrical Engineering and the Physical Society have not answered, and that the Geology Society have answered, but are yet to send their lists. The Entomological, Mathematical and Zoological Societies are thought by Rix to be unsatisfactory, but the Linnean, Meteorological, Astronomical and Mineral Societies have all sent lists worth considering.

He lists the two agenda items as the consideration of the lists, and Miss Schmitz.
