TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to H Todd, The Observatory, Cambridge
Date7 October 1891
DescriptionRix explains that the annual contribution due to the Royal Society from Charles Todd of Adelaide [Australia] has yet to be paid, and that reminders were sent last May and in September. He fears that the latter may not reach him in time to allow him to pay his subscription before the end of November, and if this occurs he will cease to be a Fellow of the Royal Society in accordance with Statute.

Rix supposes that Todd will know of his personal friends in this country, and so suggests that he write to them to ask if they will advance the necessary payment on his behalf, to prevent his removal from their list of Fellows.
