| Description | 'With reference to your enquiry concerning the late Mr Lydekker, whose obituary notice ou kindly agreed to prepare, I beg to say that we have no particulars here that are not accessible in "Who's who" and such books of reference.
From these I see that Mr Lydekker was born in 1649, and graduated at Trinity College, Cambridge, 1st Class, Nat. Sci. Tripos, 1971 and married a daughter of Canon O W Davys in 1882. He joined the staff of the Geological Survey of India in 1674.
