Description'Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of the 7th inst., it is impossible to say what chances there are of your services as a chemist being requisitioned in the event of your exemption from military service. All that the Royal society can do is send up the census card which you have filled in, with others, to the Ministry of Munitions, who may be requiring more workers in chemistry in the near future.'
