TitleCopy letter from Sir William Bate Hardy, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Alfred [Moritz] Mond [ 1st Baron Melchett ], FRS, Chief Commissioner of Works
Date1 October 1919
DescriptionAdvises he has been approached by the Entomological Society with the request that the Royal Society use its influence and secure better accommodation for them. The Royal Society previously undertook to watch the interests of certain other Societies in respect to accommodation, and they have been reminded of that promise. Notes the international importance of the Entomological Society given the medical and economic significance of insects, and the Entomological Society is 'crowded for space beyond telling.' Asks if anything can be done for them, and if he can attend and discuss possibilities.
