Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor William Ramsay, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 1 October 1892 |
Description | Ramsay is at once entitled to claim the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' for 1886 and 1887. The Society can also change any parts of the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' which are clean and saleable. If Ramsay will send these down the Society will select an equivalent from the list of those Ramsay wants.
Once this is done they shall answer the question as to what payment must be made for the rest of the volumes Ramsay wants. Harrison & Sons bind the Society's publications in cloth and the binding would be a matter between Ramsay and the Messrs, who would likely do it cheaper than anyone else as they have a stock of cloth covers ready made except lettering. |
