Title | Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir George T. Barstow; the Treasury, Whitehall, S.W.l. |
Date | 3 March 1921 |
Description | Informs Sir George T. Barstow that Mr. [Frederick Alexander] Towle, who served as the Society's Government Grant Clerk for 21 years, has been appointed to the post of Assistant Secretary. Notes that it is desireable for him to continue in control of the Government Grant work, and suggests that he be paid through the Government Grant Fund. Asks whether this is possible under existing regulation, or whether they need to apply to alter the existing regulations. |
