| Title | Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Professor [John William] Nicholson, Chairman of the Mathematics Committee and FRS |
| Date | 23 September 1921 |
| Description | Informs Professor [John William] Nicholson that there are numerous papers to be considered. Notes that he is writing to [Thomas John I'Anson] Bromwich to suggest he withdraw the paper, that the report on [Leonard] Bairstow, [B. M.] Cave and [E. D.] Lang's paper is favourable, and that a new paper has come in from [Richard Vynne] Southwell; all of which need addressed, as well as the two reports by Professor Nicholson himself on [Hector Munro] Macdonald's paper. Suggests summoning a meeting of the Mathematics Committee. |
