Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Harry Govier Seeley, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 12 February 1894 |
Description | 'Dear Sir, I have seen Mr Wesley about your plates. It appears that he already uses a mechanical process for transferring his outline drawing to the stone, and nothing at all would be saved by using photography. He also tells me that now that their Anniversary meeting is over, he is working hard at the plates and is really making good progress. Under these circumstances, perhaps we might give him a chance and defer the partition of the work for a week or two, resorting to that measure if we find that his promise of progress is not fulfilled. I am, yours truly, Herbert Rix Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. |
