TitlePapers on Bombing Policy
Date1941-1946, 1962
DescriptionThese include the period of the confrontation on bombing policy involving Tizard, Blackett and Cherwell (see Lovell, 'P.M.S. Blackett: A Biographical Memoir', Royal Society: 1976, pp64065) and also material preceding and following it. Blackett worked over these papers on more than one occasion after the events; in particular he made considerable efforts in 1962 to locate certain missing reports (see D.76-78 for correspondence on this subject), but it is clear that the remaining material is still incomplete.

See under Tizard in the Index of correspondents for other material on these matters.
