Description | Descriptions of the contents of Royal Society exhibitions (termed conversaziones, or soirees) during the late Twenties and early Thirties. The events were traditionally held in May and June of each year. An additional conversazione was held in September 1931, as part of the Faraday and British Association centenary celebrations. The catalogues contain brief numbered descriptions of displays and their exhibitors, arranged room-by-room, in Burlington House, London. The programmes have a distinctive title-page with standard information on the event, venue and date, with the name of the then-Royal Society President and an engraved image of the Royal Society's coat of arms. |
