Description | Perry and Stewart write: 'From a comparison made by Messrs. Sidgreaves and Stewart (“ Proc. Roy. Soc.,” October, 1868), between a few prominent simultaneous changes of declination at Kew and at Stonyhurst, it appeared that the ratio between the magnitudes of such changes was not constant, but depended to some extent upon the abruptness of the disturbance.'
