Description | Plate 9, figure 5 illustrating what William Clift described as 'The lower extremity of the metacarpal bone and the three pairs of phalanges of the bos [eg Bos taurus, cattle], viewed anteriorly.' Fossil found at Oreston Quarry, near Plymouth in Devon [England]. Inscribed with publication and plate details and a pencil note, upper left: 'Page 10 Bos.' Not signed. Royal Society stamp verso.
