Title | Referee's report by Horace Tabberer Brown, on a paper 'The nature & origin of the poison of lotus arabicus' by Wyndham Rowland Dunstan and T A Henry |
Date | June 1901 |
Description | Sectional committee: Botany
Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions. The paper is of considerable interest both in its chemical and biological aspects, and the work appears to be very thorough. Does not think the proof is conclusive that Lotus contains a cyanhydric of maltose or even of any other disaccharide, but this may be regarded at any rate as a good working hypothesis.
