TitleReferee's report by James Gray, on a paper 'The nature and permeability of chitin, III - The nature and origin of the membranes surrounding the developing eggs of homarus vulgaris' by Charles Maurice Yonge
Date15 March 1937
DescriptionSectional committee: Zoology

Not recommended for publication. The experiments are a 'waste of time'. He is sorry to write such a depressing report about the paper. It is 'very surprising that he does not realise how badly his reputation has suffered by his persistent adventures into things he knows nothing about'. If he stuck to his work on the feeding of molluscs and corals his work could go a long way. Allen should talk to him 'very seriously'.
