TitleReferee's report by Charles Alfred Coulson, on a paper 'A modified method of antisymmetrized molecular orbitals. I. A critical test of the conventional method' by W Moffitt and J Scalan
Date16 May 1951
DescriptionSectional committee: Physics

Paper reference code: A60

Coulson combines Part I and II in a single report, and remarks as they introduce an interesting new idea 'for dealing with the electronic structure of simple molecules' the papers should be published in some form by the Royal Society. However in its present form Coulson comments on the papers 'bewildering' nature and recommends a new structure for all three papers to be published in, making it suitable for the Philosophical Transactions. Includes the letter sent by D C Martin asking Coulson to give his opinion on the paper A60.
