DescriptionCommencing [p.1] with a notes on the ordering of the dinners, followed by a list of subscribers and and their admission dates, with honorary members [pp.2-5]; and annual accounts [pp.6-11]. Most of the volume contains lists of attendees (including 'visitors', e.g. guests) at each weekly dated meeting, with an accompanying list of the foodstuffs consumed. There are occasional gifts of meat from club members [for example p.14, half a buck from the Marquess of Rockingham] and notes on club rules. The volume concludes with some financial accounts and a list of candidates. The final note is: 'Mem: June 5 1755 Dr Muncklee promised to present the society with a new book when this was filled...'.
