Description | Commencing [p.1] with a notes on the ordering of the dinners, followed by a list of members and their admission dates, with honorary members [pp.2-5]; and annual accounts [pp.6-17]. Most of the volume contains lists of attendees (including 'visitors', e.g. guests) at each weekly dated meeting, with an accompanying list of the foodstuffs consumed. There are occasional gifts from club members [for example p.26, 'The company being this day entertained with salmon pickled after the manner they pickled to send to the East Indies...']. The volume concludes with a list of candidates. |
