Title | Letter from Arthur Hill, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Surrey, to [Henry Thomas] Tizard |
Creator | Hill; Sir Arthur William (1875-1941); British botanist |
Recipient | Tizard; Sir Henry Thomas (1885-1959); British physical chemist and science administrator |
Date | 24 February 1937 |
Description | He and Robertson lunched with Cecil Carr and there should be no difficulty in arranging the Royal Society Club's dining at the Athenaeum Club. [Henry] Lyons was there to give useful advice. Carr has agreed to speak with Tizard and Lord Macmillan and is anxious to have the Club. Hill notes possible payment arrangments and the practice of sending postcards, since late telephoning will not be tolerated. They may have to ensure that a member of the Athenaeum is Treasurer. |
