DescriptionTwo things have occurred to him about the Royal Society Club dining at the Athenaeum. Firstly, he wonders if the Hotel Jules would have any claim against the Club. Secondly, the 'absurd excise restrictions' and the legality of the Athenaeum making all Royal Society Club members honorary members at the time of the dinners, with difficulty that poses for the position of any guests.
