TitleLetter from W W C [William Whiteman Carlton] Topley, London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, Keppel Street (Gower Street), to [Robert] Robertson
CreatorTopley; William Whiteman Carlton (1886-1944); British bacteriologist
RecipientRobertson; Sir Robert (1869-1949); British chemist
Date28 June 1939
DescriptionHe is examining tomorrow and regrets he cannot attend the Royal Society Club dinnner. He would have supported Robertson's bid to change the date of the Club's title; he would favour using the date 1662. 1645 would not apply as this refers to the progenitor of the Royal Society. 1743 has nothing to support it except the survival of the oldest Club document.
