Title | Letter from John Rose Bradford, c/o D.D.M.S. [Division Director, Medical Services], Etaples, B.E.F. [British Expeditionary Force], to Sir James Dobbie, 4 Vicarage Gate, Kensington, London |
Creator | Bradford; Sir John Rose; baronet (1863-1935); British physician and physiologist |
Recipient | Dobbie; Sir James Johnston (1852-1924); British chemist |
Date | 5 January 1918 |
Description | He cannot understand why he may be an honorary member of the Royal Society Club, as he has not been a member for more than ten years, and is not yet eighty years old. If there has been an error, and he has been elected, then he would like to go on paying the usual subscription. He has been out in France since 1914 and is not able to attend any dinners. He hopes the Club is flourishing and in a postscript, asks how much he should instruct his bank to pay.
