Title | Letter from W W [William Whitehead] Watts, Hillside, Langley Park, Sutton, Surrey, to Sir Dugald [Clerk] |
Creator | Watts; William Whitehead (1860-1947); British geologist and educationalist |
Recipient | Clerk; Sir Dugald (1851-1935); British mechanical engineer |
Date | 2 July 1919 |
Description | Ballantyne would not go so far as Watts' draft and has modified two sentences, which Hadfield agreed upon and the report was printed in this modified form. He notes how he intends to circulate this, sending Ballantyne's manuscript alterations to Clerk for his signature. Watts poses a series of questions about Bonney's 'Annals of the Philosophical Club': on the return of minute books from Bonney, the number of review copies to send out, and if he should send a reminder to Abney. Tilden has dropped the subject of his quibbling letter and his copies must have been sent out. |
