DescriptionThanking Clerk for his and Hills offer to defray the costs of the book [Annals of the Philosophical Club], and asking if he could also take a small share of this, for £20. He did not share in the guarantee for Geikie's book because he wanted to contribute to this one. The work is in train with Macmillans and he forwards the publisher's agreement for signature and to forward to Hills. He comments on the circular sent to old Philosophical Club members, and says that he has no more letters regarding the Water Power Committee.
