Title | Letter from H G [Henry George] Lyons, 3 Cambridge Square, Hyde Park, to [William Bate] Hardy |
Creator | Lyons; Sir Henry George (1864-1944); British geologist and museum director |
Recipient | Hardy; Sir William Bate (1864-1934); British biologist and food scientist |
Date | 29 October 1926 |
Description | [Frank] Dyson has asked if he could bring more than one guest to the Royal Society Club on 11 November. Two German astronomers are attending the Royal Society who were helpful to Stratton in the last eclipse. Lyons thinks one is named Orenstein [Leonard Ornstein?], the other name he does not know. He thinks it might be better to make them Club guests as they do not get many foreign men of science attending. |
