TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Dr George Low, Deputy Administrator, Code AD, NASA Headquarters, Washington DC
Date9 October 1973
DescriptionHe was of course very unhappy that Low at their meeting last spring saw no possibility of cooperation with a Cornell effort in the field of telefactors, and that he based this decision on Gold's criticism of the NASA program.

Gold wishes to stress he is enthusiastic about the possibilites for space technology and science; that he has done much to spread such enthusiasm in many circles, including Congress; that he was enthusiastic about the Apollo program, even though he believed the purely scientific aspects could have been carried out unmanned. So he hope s Low will not put him into the category of persons who are unfriendly to the 'space program' - that would be quite incorrect.

Had hope that a proosal to marshall at Cornell a strong and enthusiastic group working on remote control would have been of some interest.

Hopes he will continue to listen to arguments on both sides.
