TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Professor Gordon J F MAcDonald, Director, Environmental Studies Program, DCartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire
Date22 July 1977
DescriptionAsks if MacDonald would be interested in a major study of the origin of planetary carbon. Gold is planning such a study, posibly with support from outside Cornell. He has many thoughts on this problem, and would love to have MacDonald's opinion. In any case, he is clear about the level of ignorance reigning in geology about the manner in which the estimated amounts of carbon have come into the atmosphere. Is also clear about the hogwash printed in deductions of 12C/13C
