DescriptionThanks him for his letter and the copy of his abstract, which he would be glad to discuss at length, but Gold's NASA contract does not allow him to come to the next Lunar Science Conference. Gold will therefore write a few comments now, and if Srnka cared to phone him, he would be happy to discuss them further.

Discusses low probablility of present-day cometary impacts; spontaneous magnetic field generation in hyopervelocity impacts; and ambient fields.
